India TV channel is one of 13 channels run by Red Media Television Holding, the largest Russian holding company producing and distributing theme-based channels for cable and satellite broadcasting.

India TV is the first Russian channel for movies and television programs about India.

Every day, round-the-clock, the channel airs classic Bollywood movies, premieres of new Indian movies and series, entertainment programs and music videos. Every year, the channel purchases more than 150 feature movies both from the golden fund of Indian cinema and modern Category A motion-pictures. These include films from large Bollywood majors which were a success both commercially and at festivals.

India TV channel firmly holds the leading position among movie channels broadcasted in Russia, the CIS and Baltic states, remaining the favorite channel among fans of Indian cinema and receiving recognition from the professional community.

India TV channel was recognized by the authoritative jury of the Hot Bird TV Awards (Venice) European Award for cable and satellite television as the Best Movie Channel, while the Embassy of India in Moscow commended the channel for its contribution to the development of Indian culture in Russia.
